Business Opportunity Top New Years Resolutions

The very first resolution you should make is to look at your health.  Running a business takes a ton out of you. If you plan on running a ‘successful start-up’, you need to understand that balancing life and business can often be seriously difficult.

Opening a start-up business is a time-consuming venture.  Entrepreneurs rarely find the time to exercise for long enough, and to be painfully honest, eat like crap for the most part.  You have to be in the best shape you can be in – both physically and mentally to keep the pace.

The interesting part of the lack of a steady planned flow of valuable nutrition and the lack of a planned regimen to exercise can actually hurt your performance. It can even add unwanted stress that can lead to serious health issues in the months and years to come.

Good Food Can Make You a Better & Smarter Business Owner

Admit it, we all have an hour a day – or possibly more if better planned – to exercise, and we all know that, though capable, we don’t block out the time. Right there is where your first mistake could be made this year.  We also know that we could be eating higher value, more nutritional foods, along with hitting the gym at least four times per week for at least an hour is a healthy combination.  This combo takes discipline, but it is also highly addictive.  You will be rewarded with more energy, a positive attitude, more focus during your workdays and lower stress.  I mean why not at least try it?  Take a look at what you eat during this next week and how much you exercise.  Then start making a real regiment and stick to it.  This time next year you will be happy that you did.

To take a step back, take stock in last year and know that you must have weaknesses that you’ve found that you need to shore up.  And, the first step towards planning your new year after a thorough review of the past year. Take a focused look at everything you did and pay special attention to anything that you think you didn’t do well enough or could improve upon.  Those will be your pain points to start working on.

Now onto the 2.0 side of you – your online presence.  You have analyzed stats, reviewed metrics, traffic sources, back links, checked your page rank, poured over sales figures, almost set fire to your P&L from last year when you actually look at it (kidding) and anything else you can review. You will almost certainty come up with a set of goals for 2015.

Here you can find my top two resolutions for entrepreneurs.  If you are like me, you will relate and will hopefully take away something positive.  Above all STOP DOING WHAT DOESN’T WORK. Doing the same thing all over again and expecting different results is a waste of time and will drive you nuts at the same time.
