Food Truck Industry Phenom Expands Yet Again with Great American Cookies®

In a November 2011 blog post, BusinessOpportunity.com’s Director of Sales, Kevin James Culp, pondered why it was that more companies weren’t capitalizing on the food truck trend. Well the Great American Cookies® company is no longer among them.

Just yesterday it announced that the brand’s first cookie truck will be making the rounds starting in Houston, Texas this month. It’s just the first of what will be an ongoing expansion in the coming year, according to Chris Dull, American Cookies®’ management company president and CEO. “All of our food brands, which include Marble Slab Creamery® and Pretzelmaker®…will debut food trucks this year, and we look forward to going mobile with (all of them).”

Fueled by the mobile trend, food trucks are a growing phenomenon whose time has come. This somewhat non-traditional form of franchising is just now gaining its footing as an ideal means of reaching customers with the foods they love most right where they work and live.
