New One-Stop Information Site Guides Business Owners on Obamacare

As the full impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), aka Obamacare, on business owners in particular continues to unfold and recently announced delays in its implementation cause yet more confusion, the need for current and reliable information is increasing exponentially. It’s with this challenge in mind that the Administration announced just last week that it is launching a new web-based tool designed in concert with feedback from the employer community to provide greater and individualized clarity on the issue.

Business.USA.gov/healthcare is an interactive online “wizard” that enables employers of all sizes to obtain tailored insight on just how the health law may affect them based on their own business’ size, location and plans for offering benefits to their workers next year. It will also serve as a gateway to helpful relevant resources provided by other government agencies.

2013-08-06_0952Users of the new website can expect to have access to such features as a timeline of key implementation dates, information about the SHOP (Small Business Health Options Program) Marketplace and small business tax credits, as well as guidance in calculating a business’ full-time equivalent number of employees or determining if the coverage a business currently offers meets with the law’s new minimum standards.

If you’re a business owner who is at all confused about how the ACA and it full implementation will affect you, your employees and your bottom line, you can access the Business USA Health Care Changes Wizard for answers to some or all of the questions you may have by clicking on Business.USA.gov/healthcare now!
