The reason I’m sharing this with you on our blog is to highlight the fact that not all lead are the same.  This true and everyone in the lead generation game that had cut their teeth on a few thousand live calls knows that not all leads with bad phone numbers are “bogus” – thus a waste of time.

Look, I know firsthand that frustration sets in, a bunch of what you think are bogus leads are in your system “clogging things up” or so most think when they are missing the golden nuggets.

Suggestion for your website work with people who are actually professional and respectfully of those who want information from your website.

Apparently my number wasn’t working so instead of emailing the details about the opportunity, or saying “hey couldn’t reach you here’s my contact info.” Nope just the above email was sent.

Very unprofessional and insulting…

So, the next time you think you know a lead is “Bogus”, remember this sales hack and email them with a nice note and a sentence about the number being our of service.  Perhaps you will get a nice response that might even lead to a sale.
