National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration ― May 4th – 8th, 2015
Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness.
U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) & Online Small Business Learning Center — Year-Round
A list of monthly ongoing virtual and in-person events on a whole range of topics to assist small business owners with everything from marketing and taxes to business management and strategic planning…and everything in between. Filter by topic, by date, by district/region of the country and by area of interest.
Vis-à-vis the Online SBA Learning center you can find online training classes, videos, engage in chat sessions and have access to a whole host of other tools and resources, all designed especially for the small business owner. Plus, see how your business stacks up against the competition and find out how you can obtain the counseling, mentoring and training services you need most, all at little to no cost and in your area.
Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation — Various Cities Nation/Worldwide — Year-Round
A society of economically independent individuals who are engaged citizens, contributing to the improvement of their communities. The mission of the Kauffman Foundation is to help individuals attain economic independence by advancing educational achievement and entrepreneurial success. Given its primary focus is on fostering this kind of activity, the Foundation hosts, sponsors, speaks and exhibits at events locally, nationally and internationally in order to share resources with entrepreneurs and educators throughout the world. In pursuit of this mission, we will abide by key principles espoused by our founder:

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) State-by-State Events ― Check Calendar of Events
The National Federation of Independent Business is the leading small business association representing small and independent businesses. Its mission is to promote and protect the right of our members to own, operate and grow their businesses. NFIB also gives its members strength in the marketplace by pooling their purchasing power and giving them access to many business products and services at discounted costs. SCORE’s Free Local and State Business Workshops ― Year Round
SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow and succeed nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and has been mentoring small business owners for more than forty years. SCORE’s valuable network of 13,000+ volunteers offers small business entrepreneurs confidential business counseling services at little to no charge, and it also hosts numerous nationwide workshops all year long, both online and off.
